Ringing in 2015

On New Year's Eve we went to Classic Fun Center with my sister Melinda and her kids and had a blast!

New Years Day we went bowling

and ate dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory

Lincoln saw his first movie- Big Hero 6

Juliette loved it...Lincoln lasted a little more than an hour.

We are loving just playing at home with all of our new toys!!

Juliette and Lincoln LOVE building and hiding in forts!

Juliette has been getting star stickers for her chore chart (things like staying in her bed the whole night, going potty in the toilet, putting her cup in the sink, saying a prayer reverently, reading a book, putting pajamas on, etc) When she gets 20 stars she gets $1 in her piggy bank and we go to the dollar store to pick out a prize. She is so proud!

Juliette started PRIMARY and Lincoln is full time in nursery now.

I entered a contest on Facebook for free swimming lessons and WON! So Juliette started swimming lessons and loves it!

2015 is going to be great!

Halloween Party Games

Sabrina and Tim hosted our Annual Witt Family Halloween Party and did a great job!! Their house was themed as a haunted mansion and they were the zombie hosts. We had a delicious fall dinner- Taco soup, carrots, strawberries, pumpkin choch chip cookies and homemade root beer!

We played very fun games:
1. Race to get 3 spiders down the crazy straw with no hands
2. Halloween Bingo
3. Glow stick ring toss (our favorite!)
4. Dont get trapped Ghost suckers (for the kids while the adults played ring toss)
5. Donut eating contest...no hands, from a string
6. Who am I? Everyone writes down a Halloween noun and then sticks it on the persons head next to them and you ask "yes or no" questions to figure out who, what or where you are.
We had a blast and the decorations were amazing!

The best part (other than the people and the food) are all of the costumes! I love dressing up! Matt was super creative this year and "in charge" of our costumes. he was Ron Swanson from the TV show Parks and Rec and Lincoln was his sidekick mini horse, Li'l Sebastian. Juliette was Tinkerbell and I was Peter Pan, or Mrs. Peter Pan.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

where does the time go?

Yesterday after sacrament meeting I went to drop my now 3 year old Juliette off in nursery. Lincoln, 16 months, waltzed right in behind her and saw the chairs set in a semi-circle and just climbed up on a chair and sat down so reverently. I waved bye to Juliette, who had already sat down on the other side of the room next to a friend. I said "Come on Link" and he just sat there like he knew what he was doing. I looked back and forth from the teacher to Lincoln and she said "He can stay" I said "but he's only 16 months old!" They said we know where to find you if we need you. And with that I was out. He was definitely not sad or scared as he stayed the entire 2 hours on the first day in nursery.

People always say "I dont want my kids to grow up" and normally I think "well it's better than the alternative." I never want my kids to die without getting the chance to grow up. I think it is so exciting when my kids learn new things and grow. It is scary to think that they'll be teenagers in this crazy world but being old enough for nursery is so joyous! I actually listened to the lesson in Relief Society without getting up a million times to stop my busy body boy from running down the hall way, suck on some other baby's toys, drop books or sit out the whole meeting because he's screaming. It was amazing. The lesson was on the grace of God and I felt the spirit so strongly. The first 18 months of a babies life you dont get much out of church, but yesterday both of my kids were in nursery and I felt fabulous! I almost felt guilty watching the other moms try to hold their babies still or quiet them, I wanted to offer help. I knew they could handle it though and I just sat back and relaxed. Keep your fingers crossed that next week might be a repeat. But dont hold your breath.

I love my kiddos! They wouldnt hold still for a picture though. Too excited I suppose...

October 11

Happy Birthday to Juliette!!
3 Years ago today I became a mom!
A mother to my sweet little girl. And my amazing husband became a dad. As soon as I held the tiny 5 1/2 pound little bundle my heart melted and I knew I would always love her. She is my little girl. I have learned a new kind of selfless love, compassion, patience and joy.
