Im going to the ZOO ZOO ZOO

This weekend was the best! On Friday I got my new car :) We went to Buca de Beppo for dinner and watched Terminator at our apartment. Then on Saturday we saw INCEPTION and it's SOO good! Better than we imagined. It makes you think so much about new ideas and concepts and you have to see it! Then we went to the Zoo! and LOVED it. My favorite animals there were the giraffes, elephants, monkeys and bats!
This elephant was cool he would suck up water with his trunk and spray it on himself to cool off- so entertaining. And look at the picture below with the adorable baby elephant! I love him!
Matt got a picture of this cute monkey making the funniest/cutest face ever!
Ew and I pet a cockroach.
We were so hot and tired so after we ate dinner at Red Robin we went to bed. Sunday was a great day too. We love our new ward and I made cinnamon rolls. I really am discovering that I love to cook!! As long as I have all the ingredients I need, someone to eat and love what I make (my adorable husband Matt) and the BEST part is if I cook Matt cleans it all up after we eat. It is so great and I love cooking! Our favorite meals I make so far are chicken enchilladas and the cinnamon rolls!

My new ride

I am SOO excited. I got a new (used) car. It is this 2002 Hyundai Elantra from CW Automotive! I LOVE IT!! Now Matt and I wont have to share 1 car. We got it for a sweet deal and are so blessed!

Fun Nights

I LOVE married life. I do have to say that it requires work and learning how to compromise but it's so fun living in an apartment together and just having lazy days where we play xbox, take pics, watch TV before going to bed and staying up laughing. Matt is the best! We have fun!
Love us! haha

Its a small world

We went downtown and walked around temple square. We saw Sister Vivian. A sister missionary serving in Utah from Brazil. Matt taught her and her family the gospel when he was on his mission in Brazil. It was so fun to meet her and see her sharing the gospel. It is amazing the ripple effect serving a mission has. We heard the good news that her father got baptized this year! We are so thankful for the gospel! And the missionaries! We love to see the temple!
Matt and Shar on temple square

Home Sweet Home

Our first apartment:
We got this entertainment center for our awesome TV at IKEA.
I put together this dresser from IKEA myself!

Our walk in closet is awesome!
We love our little apartment and are excited to decorate it. I will put more pictures later. :)

Flashback

For some reason when I was a senior in high school I thought it would be a good idea to dye my hair. Matt, Sabrina and I were bored one night in October 2005 and went to the store and bought some dye. We very excitedly dyed my hair this beautiful-light-brown-to-be color (like it showed on the box). but no... IT WENT GRAY. It was horrible! and ugly. I started crying and Matt is usually positive about making changes to switch things up and said we'll just have to dye it darker! It'll look hot. So we did and it was a VERY dark brown. It was fun for a change. But definately dark.
Sometimes I didnt even recognize myself when I looked in the mirror. Lol

This is us at sadies in November 2005.

Matt is a hottie!I thought it looked cute this day at Jessica and Scott's wedding reception November '05.
I had dark hair for about 5 months and then I wanted to bleach it back to blonde. This wasn't quite as easy.......
Melinda did a great job- we're half way there!

It was a lovely (ew no) golden orange for a few months and finally we got it back to blonde.
August of 2007 I chopped 7 inches off.

I've had long hair, short hair, dark brown hair, blonde hair. Now it's back to my natural color with a few fun highlights and getting long again! Change is fun and good but I like being a blonde! It fits me best.

Summer Movies

Matt and I saw ECLIPSE. I LOVE IT!! I love the books obviously way more but I have to say I was very impressed with this movie. I love it and it's the best so far. I love to see Bella's character develop (I think Kristen did a much better acting job this time) and Jacob confess his feelings for her. I love Edward too. Based on the characters in the book I am definitely Team Edward. If it was looks only....I might go for Jacob. But maybe not I love Edward too much! I think most guys hate this series because it gives girls this unrealistic expectation but seriously Matt is better than Edward. I LOVE him and he is the best husband in the world! Life is great! We had so much fun at this movie. We almost cried it was so good, no excellent!

Jacob Black is SOO so hot! Emmett is HOT as well. And Edward is just amazing. So Matt decided Alice is his favorite and thinks she's a hottie. I love her hair! And style. She is hot. If you have not yet seen TOY STORY 3 go see it!! It is the best! I LOVE it. We were laughing and/or crying the entire time. It is perfect and appropriate for all people, all ages. It is the best.

It's like we are on a movie marathon. Tonight we are going to see A-Team and Knight and Day at the Drive-In. I'm excited. I told Matt since we always go to "girl movies" We can go see these 2 too.

An upcoming movie we are eXciTeD about it INCEPTION! It is directed by the same director as Dark Knight. July 16!!
The movie I am MOST excited about is HARRY POTTER and the Deathly Hollows!! I honestly feel like I have grown up with these guys. Last night Matt and I were reminiscing about when we were in 6th Grade and Mrs. Ostermiller read us the first Harry Potter Book. That book came out in 1997 and the movie came out in 2001. WOW these have been a hit for over 10 years! I absolutely love the books (I know I'm nerdy) and I LOVE the movies too.
Look how young they are!
Now we are all growing up. I cannot wait to see the movie. I cant believe it is in 2 parts though and we'll have to WAIT for Part 2. Ohhh wow Why is Harry Potter so good?

What do you think of all these awesome movies?
