Pumpkin Patch

I love October! I love fall and Halloween. It is the start of the holiday season. I love the chill in the air and the changing colored leaves. On Saturday Matt and I took the kids to a pumpkin patch to buy some pumpkins and attempt at taking pictures. (Keyword: attempt haha)

Frightmares

There's only one, one, one, one,one LAGOON! I hadnt been to Lagoon in years because I was either pregnant or just had a baby and so we decided to go this year and we had a blast! Matt and I went with our younger siblings, Lauren and Marcus. I love the ride Wicked! The haunted houses were pretty cool too. {Zombie jail was lame} We also went on the white roller coaster, swings, colossus, samuri, rocket and tidal wave.

Afterwards we went to IHOP to get some hot chocolate. We had a fun night. To be young again!

Juliette's 2nd Birthday!

Juliette is 2 years old! Her birthday was October 11. She LOVES monkeys and we had a fun little birthday party. She slept over at Matt's parents' the night before and went to the zoo during the day. Then we had our families over for dinner and the party.

When I saw this monkey ribbon I knew I had to make a bow with it. I had fun making this bow with this easy tutorial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hU8nDoTBhB0.
How old are you?? 2!!

She was excited for her presents!!

 She is obsessed with babies!
She loves to sing, dance and dress up.
She got a motorized little quad and LOVES to ride it around.
Preparing for Juliette's birthday party was been so much fun! I ordered these cupcake toppers off of etsy.

Two years ago today I was giving birth to sweet little Juliette. She has brought so much joy into our lives I cannot imagine life without her. She is so smart and a great big sister!

She wears size 4 diapers but is really good at keeping them dry most of the time and loves to go potty in the toilet. She wears size 24 month or 2T clothes. She loves getting dressed and undressed. She loves shoes, buckles, playing outside, swings, watching shows and playing games on the ipad. She likes to help say the prayer and loves nursery. We love Juliette so much!!

Young Women Sugar Cube Temples

Stand ye in Holy Places has been our Young Women theme this year. For an activity we made sugar cube temples and they turned out so well!
We cut squares out of a card board box for the base. We had pictures of different temples for the girls to look at and start building.

Each girl used about 150 sugar cubes and glue. We tried hot glue, but it didnt work as well.

some of the girls added Angel Moroni with foil, glue and gold glitter

They did such a great job and loved the way they turned out. While the girls were gluing and creating we had a trivia game about temples that one of the leaders created. We learned a lot and discussed "sweet" blessings of the temple and tasted some sugar cubes.

Young Womens Back to School BBQ

I absolutely love being in Young Womens and have enjoyed making little crafts. The week before school started we had a BBQ at my house. For the invitations I made these adorable pencils I found on Pinterest:
Girls love candy (Rolo with kiss on top) and I printed the invitations on lined paper to go with the school theme
found the Pencil  idea here

For the eraser I just used the sticky side of a post it not and wrapped it around on end of the rolo's.
Then i cut out a pink circle and glued it on the top.

I didnt have any yellow paper and saw this wrapping paper at the dollar store and used it to cover the main portion of the rolo's

I actually used double sided taped for the wrapping paper and kiss instead of glue and it worked well.
They turned out pretty cute!
