MYSTERE

For the Romero family vacation this summer we went to Las Vegas! It was so nice and warm. They have a time share and we stayed at the Wyndham Resort. It was SO nice. Matt and I got our own room with a king size bed, huge jetted tub and cozy front room and kitchen. Saturday we hung out and went swimming. That night after a delicious buffet dinner we went to Mystere the Cirque du Soleil show at Tresure Island. It was amazing!!

The stage moves up and down, the lighting adds to the effect, people lower from the ceiling, climb up walls, flip through the air grabbing an acrobatic bar, costumes are unbelievable, all the acts are fun to watch and the whole thing is just awesome!

The acts include:

The first guy had an Aerial Cube that he spun and maneuvered in and out of. With the floresent lights it was just fascinating.

On of my favorites was probably the Chinese Poles. The amazing acrobats would climb up, down, flip off and on, around the poles. They had masks on the backs of their heads and the costumes were really cool. It was like an optical illusion with people flying everywhere and amazingly climbing up these tall poles.

There were these two REALLY strong guys, two brothers, that did an act called Hand-to-hand. One of the guys laid on his back why the other guy did a hand stand balancing on his legs. They did all these crazy maneuvers that were just captivating.

The Bungee Jumping was really cool! These 6 people dressed like bird creatures did tricks and stunts on trapeze bars. It was almost inspiring. I want to do gymnastics after watching this fun, amazing act.

Matt's favorite was the Trampoline, Fast Track and Koream Plank. The performers would bounce each other on this teeter-tottor type thing and one of them would bounce the other high into the air, after flipping amazingly through the air they land on the sholders of another performer. They had to be so exact and precise in thier jumping and landing. It was great!

This act was cool but kind of left you hanging. Like I thought the Aerial High Bar performers were practicing to build up to some cool move But that was the performance. The act consisted of 14 gymnasts doing a high-bar routine 40 feet above stage.

The whole show was really cool becuase the music was live and the drummers and everyone were amazing. The whole experience was thrilling, the hour and half flew by. It was pure entertainment! I would love to see more Cirque du Soleil shows like Ka and O. Thank you Greg and Karine! We loved every minute of our vacation!
